What is a filter press for:

How a filter press works:
Suspension Feeding: The liquid suspension containing solid particles is fed into the filter press.
Uniform Distribution: The suspension is evenly distributed over a series of filter plates.
Filtration: Solid particles are retained on the filter plates, forming a layer of cake.
Pressing: Once the cake layer is formed, the filter plates are pressed against each other, applying pressure to facilitate liquid removal.
Liquid Drainage: The liquid (filtered) passes through the filter plates and is collected, leaving the cake layer dry.
Solids Discharge: After the dehydration process, the cake layer (solids) is removed from the filter press.
